In Which I Appreciate What I Have and Forget About What I Don’t — 3 Comments

  1. I too get green with conference envy, especially this time of the year – the start of the conference season. I manage to save enough for 1 major genealogical event per year and instead of making me happy, it makes me want more. It’s ok to talk smack and whine, a pity party is good for the soul every now and then.

  2. You’re soooo lucky to have gotten signed up for GRIP, especially the Thomas Jones course. I tried. I was online and clicked in as soon as the link was available but didn’t get in. As much fun as the NGS Conference was, I REALLY would have liked to have gotten into his course at GRIP! The next best thing though was attending all four of his lectures at NGS. So, yes, I’m happy with that and truly appreciate having attended NGS!

  3. I was actually GRIP registrant #6. I registered so fast I never even saw the part where I was supposed to reserve my room. I thought I might have to bring a tent! It all worked out in the end, however, and I am looking forward to donning my thinking cap this July!
